Map of Avalon

Avalon is the main setting in the Phoenix Dynasty series. It is a massive, modern, magical city that spans an entire continent and consists of numerous districts. There are also portals to other worlds.

The sixteen Magic Houses of Avalon rule the city like corporate royalty. Some Houses are allies. Others are enemies. Political intrigue is the name of the game. Take risks to win, but watch out! If the other Houses sense weakness, you could be facing a hostile takeover.

The Houses are named after magical creatures and beings.

Avalon’s current ruling Magic Houses are: Anansi House, Cerberus House, Dragon House, Fenrir House, Garuda House, Griffin House, Kitsune House, Kraken House, Leprechaun House, Leviathan House, Pegasus House, Phoenix House, Pixiu House, Satori House, Sphinx House, and Wyvern House.

Together, the sixteen Houses make up the Avalon Assembly.

The Magic Houses of Avalon

Each of the sixteen Magic Houses of Avalon has chosen an animal/creature and a plant for its heraldry, stationary, and other official House imagery. These can be seen in the House Art slideshow above. The House art makes an appearance in the Phoenix Dynasty paperbacks and hardcovers.

Each House also has a House accent, which all members of that House are expected to use. You can hear them in the Phoenix Dynasty audiobooks.
